Norm Pollard - President - Telcom Enterprises Inc.

Norm has been active in the telecommunications industry since the early nineteen sixties.  He spent over thirty years with Bell Canada in various sales marketing positions, reaching General Manager - Finance and Industrial Accounts.  After Bell, Norm became associated with Telizon / Simcoe County Long Distance, who are one of Bell Canada's largest resellers of Centrex and Long distance services within Simcoe County. He formed Telcom Enterprises with a mission to maximize telecom savings of government, hospitals and industry within Canada and beyond.


Norm has formed close liaisons with the major long distance carriers resulting in the ability to provide Canada local and national organizations with long distance rates ranging from one point six ($0.016) cents to two ($0.02) cents per minute depending on the clients supplier selection. He is also extremely knowledgeable in the new technologies such as Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network and telephone system configurations.

Children's Aid Societies of Ontario


Of the over fifty Children's Aid Societies in Ontario, Norm Pollard has been the consultant of record for over twenty-five of these agencies.  In that capacity he has been responsible for guiding senior CAS management in the acquisition of major telecommunication systems as well as for optimizing network infrastructure resulting in savings of hundreds of thousands of dollars annually.  A few examples of Agencies are Chatham CAS, London & Middlesex CAS, Cornwall CAS and Sudbury CAS.


Hospital Telecommunication Optimization Projects


Brant Community Health Services, Haliburton Highlands, Orangeville Headwaters, Cambridge Memorial and Northumberland Hills Hospitals are examples of hospitals that have entered into Network Optimization contracts with Telcom Enterprises Inc.


Worked directly with hospital senior management in the redesign of telecommunications infrastructure including Megalink, Cellular, Local Lines and Long Distance Services.


Municipalities / County Governments


Combining technology knowledge gained from his experience as Senior Manager with Bell Canada as well as his consulting expertise, Mr. Pollard has been able to sign agreements with over one hundred and twenty one governments to provide comprehensive professional insights into their existing practices and current telecommunication expenditures.  As well, based on his evaluations he has been able to provide objective recommendations for productivity improvement and telecommunication cost optimization.  A few examples include Niagara Catholic District School Board, County of Huron, County of Wellington County of Bruce, County of Brant, Nipissing Parry Sound Children´┐Żs Aid Society, Wellington Catholic District School Board along with the Municipality of The Region of Waterloo and Town of Caledon.


Northwest Telephone Limited - Whitehorse / Yellowknife


Mr. Pollard developed and implemented recommendations for the sale of telecommunication products and services by the Northwest Telephone Limited sales force.  This project encompassed the analysis of all existing sales procedures, objectives etc, as well as the development of a marketing plan to turn a monopoly telephone company into a competitive telecommunications entity.
